The Paper
Every print is made on Hahnemühle Photo Rag, a 308gsm sheet of 100% cotton with a smooth matte surface. It is archival and acid free.
Cotton holds the full range of a black & white photograph, from the softest grey to the deepest shadow, without the glare of a glossy surface. I use one paper for every print, so every edition looks the way it was meant to.
The Edge
The edges are torn by hand and feathered, the way fine paper looked before machines cut it square. No two torn edges are alike, so no two prints are either.
A white border sits between the photograph and the edge. That is where each print is signed, numbered, and sealed.
The Hand
Every print is inspected before it leaves the studio. I sign and number it in pencil in the lower border and press the seal into the paper beside the signature.
It ships with a certificate of authenticity, signed and numbered to match the print.
Fifteen
Each photograph is printed in an edition of exactly fifteen, across every size. There are no artist's proofs, no reprints, and no exceptions.
When the fifteenth print is gone, the edition closes. The photograph stays here, but only as an image.
Edition of 15
Sizes
| Sheet | Format |
|---|---|
| 12 x 18 in | Standard |
| 16 x 24 in | Standard |
| 20 x 30 in | Where the original file allows |
| 12 x 30 in | Panorama |
| 20 x 40 in | Panorama |
Sizes are the full sheet. The photograph sits inside the white border, so the image is smaller than the sheet. Each photograph is offered only in the sizes its original file can carry at full quality.
Living With the Print
Frame it floated, so the torn edge stays visible. Hang it out of direct sunlight. Handle it by the border, with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves.
Delivery
Every print is made to order and ships to collectors in the United States and abroad. Shipping is included in the price.
